Triangle gets the go ahead!

HabOakus, a developer part owned by Grand Designs host Kevin McCloud, has been granted permission for its first development, The Triangle. Based in Wiltshire, it's intended to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes with the potential to upgrade to carbon zero status - making Tradical® Hemcrete® the natural choice for the scheme.

Designed by Glenn Howells Architects, it will contain 42 homes built to the most sustainable specifications. Combining sustainability with performance, Tradical® Hemcrete®'s negative embodied CO2 and excellent thermal efficiency make it a superb material with which to combat climate change.

Tradical® Hemcrete® also creates exceptionally healthy buildings, in line with the "One Planet Living" approach of The Triangle. As it is vapour permeable it creates a breathable walling system that regulates internal relative humidity.

A mixed tenure scheme consisting of homes for sale, shared ownership and affordable renting, The Triangle sets the standard for sustainable and socially conscious development. By specifying Tradical® Hemcrete®, the architects and designers of the scheme are assured that they have a material with impeccable green credentials.
